CLIENT STORY // 01
As part of my journey in creating art, I tend to focus on select subject matters so I can improve my techniques, color theory, values, composition etc. it was while I was focusing on doing some studio work for portraits, I reached out to my followers asking if anyone would like a portrait to be done. A good friend replied immediately and asked if I would mind painting the portrait of his favourite singer. This became my first commission.
" Jennifer did a great job capturing Antonia's likeness. She shared her progress with me regularly and asked for feedback along every step of the way. When I received the final piece, it was everything I hoped for. Jennifer is evolving as a serious talented artist." Richard W.
CLIENT STORY // 02 and 03
II was going through a period of sketching and painting mammals - large, small, it didn't matter. I was focused on composition and capturing a likeness of the animal. My favourite at the time was a pencil sketch of a water buffalo. I shared this work with my followers and one reached out and asked if I could paint their family dog, Australian mini. I asked for some reference photos and completed some research on this breed before starting the project. I presented the final painting of "Clover" and the owner could not be happier with the likeness and that I managed to capture its personality. I was asked to paint their other dog (same breed).
"Jennifer nailed it. She captured such a close resemblance of both dogs and their personalities through the clever us of color. It is not a "piece based on realism" but rather a clever use of color and composition to capture the essence of Daisy and Clover. I have the pieces mounted over my desk and look at them every day with such joy."
I was posting photos of these 2 completed pieces and I was approached to paint another follower's family dog who had recently passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I knew that Coby was his best friend and treated as a family member and had to ensure that extra care was taken with this work.
"I lost my beloved Coby and I was heartbroken. He was the best dog ever and I wanted a way to keep a memento of him in some form. I asked Jennifer if she would mind painting a portrait of Colby and she started right away. I love the manner in which she was able to capture his spirit and I just love seeing it every day on my mantle."
