Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

jrubbertire

Thank you to all my supporters and followers. 2024 was a very busy year for me, where I participated in 10 expositions from May until December. I also created 20+ new pieces this year.

My expositions started with me participating in a solo exhibition to launch my "Isolation Series" and I then pivoted to participate in the Ottawa Tulip Festival. Following closely on the heals of the Tulip Festival I participated in the Art Festival hosted in Kingston Ontario. In the following months of August to December, I participated in a variety of group and solo exhibitions hosted through ArtEast Ottawa as well as a show hosted by Plein Air Ottawa. I also launched a new series titled, "Historical Ottawa".

2024 could not have been the success it has been without all your support. It is a huge challenge to put yourself out in the public domain and be willing to receiving accolades (as well as criticism). Constructive criticism is always welcomed because it helps me grow as an artist. Even the great masters started as apprentices and eventually launched their own art career. It took a lot of patience and perseverance for these masters to grow as an artist and I am enjoying the ride as I continue to learn every day on this fantastic journey.

I have been spending my time in the month of December examining what my goals are for 2025. I will be creating new paintings En Plein Air with a focus on urban landscapes. I have also been studying oil techniques and how I can apply them to my urban landscapes, with a focus on improving my edges (hard and soft) and application of shifts in values.

I am also excited to announce that I will be offering watercolor classes to beginners. I am currently working on my itinerary and course material so I will be ready in January 2025 to launch this new offering.

I am also excited to announce that I am revamping my whole website. I have never been happy with its look and feel and have been waiting for an opportunity to improve it greatly. Stay tuned for when I will be launching this new site (sometime in early March).

I wish each and everyone one of you a joyful Christmas holiday and the very best of 2025.

Thank you - Jennifer Robitaille.
