I have always stayed away from painting seascapes through my own lack of confidence in being able to capture the beauty in the harshness of the waves crashing against the rocks.  This painting was inspired after making serveral trips to North Point in Barbados - the scene is constantly shifting and I find it mesmerizing with the constant ebb and flow of the waves combined with the northern strong breeze and the "whoose noise" as the larger waves crash against the rocks. Strength and destruction in one breath.
